Soul Sundays
The goal of this project was to create a visual identity for Rukus Avenue Radio’s Soul Sundays, a weekly spiritual programming block dedicated to mindfulness, music, and interfaith connection. The full series consists of 11 flyers (including the main promotional flyer), each designed to represent a unique spiritual theme while maintaining a consistent tone of serenity and balance.
Drawing inspiration from sacred traditions around the world, the series reflects the show’s focus on unity through spiritual diversity. The visuals use soft, ethereal imagery paired with warm gradients, gentle textures, and elegant typography to evoke calm reflection and inclusivity.
The result is a meditative and inclusive visual system that mirrors the show’s mission to heal, uplift, and unite audiences through music and message, while establishing a strong, elegant brand presence for Rukus Avenue Radio’s spiritual programming.
Mental Health Awareness Month
This carousel post series was designed to raise awareness around mental health and the importance of community, compassion, and emotional openness. I aimed to create a calm yet impactful visual tone—combining soft gradients, cool tones, and clean, expressive type to evoke empathy and comfort.
Each slide delivers a gentle, supportive message, reflecting the theme “It’s okay not to be okay.” The design balances clarity with warmth, using airy layouts and pastel hues to create a sense of safety and care. The final result is a cohesive and emotionally resonant series around mental health while aligning with Rukus Avenue Radio’s inclusive and uplifting brand identity.
South Asian Mental Health Tips
This carousel series was the second post I created for Mental Health Awareness Month, designed to celebrate and raise awareness around holistic healing practices rooted in South Asian culture. Inspired by Rukus Avenue Radio’s identity as a South Asian–founded platform, the project connects traditional wellness philosophies with modern mental health awareness through culturally grounded design.
Centered on the lotus flower motif — a symbol of purity, resilience, and rebirth — the visuals use soft, organic colors, balanced typography, and simple figurative illustrations that depict traditional wellness practices to complement the content on each slide. The result is a restorative and inclusive visual series that blends education, culture, and empathy.
Artist Spotlights
During my internship with Rukus Avenue Radio, I designed a series of Artist Spotlights, one of the main weekly content categories on the brand’s social media platforms. These posts highlighted South Asian and diaspora artists through a unified visual identity, alongside other recurring content such as new releases, cultural moments, music and film events.
This spotlight features the artist Dhruv as part of Rukus Avenue Radio’s weekly Artist Spotlight series. Using high-quality images provided by the artist’s team, I focused on creating visual consistency across the carousel through texture, composition, and a clear layout for the artist information. The animation on the final slide was an experimental addition, featuring a looped vinyl mock-up I created using the artist’s album cover, paired with a call to action inviting viewers to listen to his latest release.
Video Content Creation
The following videos are cross-platform content showcasing a variety of formats, music news, new music releases, event promotion, and artist interview.
The first video is a music reporting of Sapphire — a summer track by Ed Sheeran and Arijit Singh — offering insight into the song’s creative process and collaboration. The second is a compilation of new music releases from the South Asian diaspora, featuring a mix of artists and genres to keep audiences updated and engaged. The third is a promotional video for the Calgary Stampede Mela, designed to market the event, build excitement, and capture the atmosphere attendees could expect. The final video is an interview with artist Akhil, where he discusses the concept behind his new single.
Each video was designed and edited to match the mood and context of the content, maintaining visual and tonal consistency across Rukus Avenue Radio’s brand presence.
